Bible - Students will have a Bible lesson each day. Both the Old and New Testaments are used in the Bible lesson. Bible time includes the Pledge of Allegiance, a patriotic song, Bible hymns, memory verses, prayer time and a Bible Lesson.
Reading - Students will learn strategies to become independent readers. They will continue to read through phonics. They will develop fluency as well as comprehension skills. Students will learn to read nonfiction for the purpose of gathering information. Students will study different literary genres; they will learn library skills and write research papers.
Math - Students will review previous skills learned, they will become skilled in problem solving, patterning, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. As well as working with fractions. Students will continually build on what they have learned and become proficient in higher level skills including algebra and geometry.
Writing - students will learn the writing process. They will produce authentic work. Students will create a variety of writings to share with a specific audience.
Social Studies / Science - Students will experience God's world through experimentation and discovery. They will see God's hand in history. They will study countries, as well as our country. They will also study all periods of history from the beginning.
