Curriculum -- ABeka Book and various other high quality publishers are the textbooks used by the students at Bartlett Christian Academy. Our textbooks and teaching materials are among the very best in scholarship, design, practicality, and Scriptural fidelity.
Homework -- BCA follows the ten minute per grade level guideline for grades 1-5. Your child is expected to complete 10 minutes of homework in first grade, 20 minutes of homework in second grade, et cetera. Please talk with the teacher if you have concerns about homework.
Extended Care -- Before school child care will be provided from 7:30-8:20 a.m. After school child care will be provided from 3:15-5:00 p.m.
Grading Policy -- 94-100 A; 85-93 B; 75-84 C; 65-74 D; 64 or below F. All students receive Progress Reports every three weeks. Report Cards are distributed every nine weeks.
Dress Code -- It is the responsibility of parents to make sure their children are appropriately dressed (according to the school’s dress code) when arriving for school so that it is not deemed necessary to ask for a change of clothing during the school day. The dress code is detailed on the following page: DRESS CODE EXAMPLES and if there are any questions regarding appropriate versus inappropriate attire, the principal’s decision will be final as they represent and consider the best interest of the school and the student body.
Field Trips -- During the course of the school year the class will be taking two field trips. You will always be informed well in advance of a field trip. There may be a small charge for admission and/or travel expense (if necessary).
Finances -- Tuition will be paid in twelve equal monthly installments. The first is due June 1, and the last on May 1. The curriculum fee is due by July 31st . Prompt payment of accounts is necessary for the school to meet its financial obligations. The monthly payment is due at the first of the month. There is a $15 late charge after the 15th of the month, and an additional $20 late fee on the 20th if payment is not received. If payment is not received by the 21st, students cannot attend class. Should you experience unusual difficulties, please contact the school principal and arrange for a conference.
School Day Schedule -- School hours for half-day kindergarten are: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for the morning session. School hours for all-day students are: 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Students should not be dropped off unattended before 8:20 a.m. Children must be picked up by 3:15 p.m. Any children not picked up by 3:15 p.m. will automatically go into after school care.
Quarterly Mission Projects -- As an arm of Bartlett Church, Bartlett Christian Academy will engage in a mission project once a quarter. Each quarter, a different class will have a mission project. These generally will be in cooperation with church projects.
Technology -- The school shall instruct the students in ethical and moral use and evaluation of materials from any source, including the Internet, consistent with the school’s Biblical philosophy and values (As set forth by ACSI). There is a Computer Lab all grades

Early Registration -- Each spring the school will hold an early registration period from March 1 – 31st. Returning students and their siblings, along with Bartlett Baptist Church members, will have an opportunity to register first to ensure a place for the upcoming year. Parents who refer new families will receive a tuition discount of $250, up to tuition level and capacity of the school, and when the new student has been enrolled/attendance for 60 calendar days.
Visitation Policy -- Parents and other interested adults are encouraged to visit the school. Please call the school office and a visitation time will be arranged for you. If you desire, we will take you on a tour of our facilities and answer any questions you might have. Student guests must first receive permission from the teacher and the principal.
